AMLN SCHOLARSHIP FOR ARAB AMERICAN STUDENTS

The AMLN is working on a nationwide appeal to government organizations, universities, colleges and individuals to help secure scholarships for Arab students who wish to continue their higher education in the United States. Recipients of these scholarships will enrich the diversity of college campuses and allow for cultural exchange to promote mutual understanding between Americans, and Arabs.The AMLN College Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to students of Arab heritage enrolling in community college, four-year college, and graduate school. Award amounts generally range from $1,000 to $3,000.

Eligibility Requirements:

Be of Arab heritage Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired).

Be a high school senior or undergraduate/graduate student enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at an accredited U.S. college or university in the Tri state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut).

Undergraduate and Graduate students applying must have earned at least 12 credits at a U.S. accredited college or university. Have and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (or 4.00 on a 5.00 scale).

Be active in their local Arab American community.

∗ To receive this award, recipients of this scholarship are required to organize a campus wide event each semester.
