MISSION STATEMENT

The American MidEast Leadership Network (AMLN) 501 (c) 3 is a non-profit organization established to enhance cultural, economic, and political understanding between educators and students, journalists, professionals, officials, civic and religious leaders, and all interested citizens in the Middle East and in the United States. We provide resources and leadership development programming that allows future leaders in both regions to explore the salient issues that divide and unite them.

AMLN OBJECTIVE

AMLN pursues its objective through each of its three programming divisions:

AMLN’s Grassroots Diplomacy Program is an annual, three-week cultural exchange between American and Middle Eastern students. Combining dialogue sessions, language courses, media workshops, and cultural excursions, the program encourages its participants to re-evaluate stereotypes they hold about their counterparts.

AMLN’s Family Services addresses the needs of the US’s underserved Arab immigrant community by providing advocacy, legal assistance, and information-referral for issues affecting the community’s members. This division also aims to raise awareness for the common values and aspirations that young Arab immigrants share with their peers in the United States. You can learn more about AMLN Family Services by visiting the program’s website. Learn More

AMLN’s Student Resources is an information hub on scholarship and internship opportunities for American and Arab-American students wanting to study the Arabic language or Middle Eastern affairs in the United States. This division also provides information for Middle Eastern students wanting to pursue higher education opportunities in the United States.
